Nitter

Nitter is a privacy-focused front-end for Twitter (now X). Note: As of early 2024, Twitter has blocked the guest access tokens that Nitter relied on. Most public instances are now broken or rate-limited to the point of uselessness. While the project remains open-source, it should be considered discontinued for most users.

Previously, it allowed browsing tweets without JavaScript or tracking. Today, it serves mostly as an archival reference to how decentralized front-ends can function, but it is no longer a reliable way to access Twitter content.
